Futurological Congress: Post Apocalypse. Which forecasts of scientists don’t came true by 2012

In the morning on December 22, 2012 there was a crowd of disappointed people in Mexico, gathered the day before to meet the Apocalypse. They wandered aimlessly along the beach, mechanically smoothing crumpled feathers of their suits, the faces were sad, despair and frustration - the "holiday" was stolen. And while looking at their sad faces, we asked ourselves, how many of the scientific predictions do come true? Not old, as those made by Maya Indians, Nostradamus and Jules Verne, but the predictions of recent decades of twentieth century, when there became apparent the main technological trends and directions of development of a technology.
